Let's talk match-matchy looks, like in today's outfit post featuring a ring in the exact same hues as the floral dress it's paired with. This definitely is a bit bright for my normal closet, so I'll be selling this dress in my (coming soon) shop! I'm a bit too shy to post a backless shot today, but the cut of this dress is low in the back, which is a fun surprise from the front. I've paired it with a suede pair of JC's with a wooden heel. Does owning a cat make you a crazy cat lady? What about purchasing JC Litas just because they have a cat print on them? Or how about if you name your blog partly after your cat? Hmmm... Well this crazy cat lady is totally embracing it! Don't forget every Saturday is Caturday here on P+L, featuring my adorable kitten darling. Yes I'm obsessed.

Wow I have an incredibly packed day today! I'll be at work in the morning, then it's off to the US border to pick up some packages from ebay, plus I've got to get some paleo grocery shopping done, and finally I'll be back home to work on coding more entries for my secondhand clothing shop opening soon!! After a pretty lazy birthday week, I'm kicking it into high gear! Speaking of kicking... let's take a peak at my new favourite pair of comfy mocs!


I nabbed these Minnetonka moccasins on ebay and I am so happy I did! They are incredibly comfortable, and perfect to add a bit of style when running to or from the yoga studio! I know I hate getting out of hot yoga and having to fumble with laces, snaps or buttons. Having a cute slip on shoe is a must! Being that it is November here, however, waterproofing is also a major plus!!

Tod's driving shoes would also be perfect slip ons for any active fashionista! You can get the shoes pictured above here. Do you have a favourite pair of shoes to wear while in transit from activities?

When I saw these Litas on craigslist, I knew I had to have them! The girl selling them was so patient with me as I fumbled to find my wallet (not in my purse... ok let me check my car... nope not there... ok ummm trying not to freak out... OHTHANKGOD there it is... ok here's your money...). I wore these out the other day to the eatery and they are surprisingly easy to walk in! I definitely felt like my feet were 10 pounds heavier while walking the 2 flights of stairs up to our apartment... but well worth it!



Oh, Pirate. Her cuteness amazes me every day. Don't let her fool you though, she flops over on her side and plays like she may want you to rub her belly... but if you dare, she will not hesitate to bite! She's not an evil kitty, and only play bites... but if I haven't clipped her claws in a week or two, you might walk away with a few marks to remember her cuteness by...

Happy Friday everyone! This week has definitely been a blur for me, being the birthday week and all. I was incredibly lucky to be able to take a few days off to enjoy going out to dinner with Cam and just relax! There's definitely been a lot of jokes flying about Cam + I being like old people (I do love knitting and watching soaps... uh oh...) Oh well, our friend Joanna is also down to join our old man society!

Now onto some jewelry! I stumbled upon Stefanie's designs on etsy, and while I was most taken by her "Spikes and Lines" collection, I found myself closely examining many of the photos of her pieces from other collections as well. Her "Monsters Within" is a bit too Lady Gaga for me, but I appreciate her artistic talents, and her inspiration blurbs are worth a read. What do you think?

Over the past few weeks I've taken the time to evaluate this blog, what I liked about it, and what I didn't. My real passions are in the accessories of life; from the items in fashion (bags, shoes, jewelry, etc), to home life (decor), to body image (yoga, paleo eating) and so this blog will now focus on what in my opinion makes style so fun. You can see the new sections above, and as our content begins to post from today forward, the images will begin to be active and clickable. I will be posting once (sometimes twice) daily (although sometimes life can get in the way of posting, in which case my apologies will have to do!), and including written content as I had first intended. I got a bit lost for a while in only posting photos + inspiration (as I'm sure has happened to many a blogger). I hope to pack this blog full of content that is both useful + fun, with a bit of humour, and many original photographs. I am so excited for this new year both in my life and this blog!
