Not Your Average V-Date

Take a Bikram Yoga Class

Up for a challenge? Get your date to pack a bag with shorts, a tank, and a water bottle and meet at a bikram yoga studio! Feel free to rent your date's mat and practice towels and offer to place your mats in the room (this also ensures you'll be next to each other). Get ready to sweat like crazy, but you'll both feel fantastic afterwords and work up a mighty appetite! BYV studios in Vancouver have a hair dryer and dressing rooms for you to gussy up for whatever your night has ahead of you; just make sure it includes a good meal and drink plenty of water too!

Make Your Own Sushi

Invite a few couples (or just your date if you want a more romantic night) over to make your own sushi! I live in the west coast, so sea food is generally abundant in our area. If you live more inland, you can choose another dish that works for your area. Why not just go out for sushi? Vancouver has a sushi restaurant every few blocks, but that doesn't mean every single one is fantastic, or fresh. Making your own sushi ensures you know exactly where your fish comes from, as well as gives you the opportunity to bond and have a few laughs with your guests. Plus, eating after all your hard work is definitely much more rewarding than picking it off a menu!

Go On A Photo Adventure

For this date, you'll need to research 2-3 spots for photos, a quick photo developing shop, and a bar or cafe. Pick up 2 disposable cameras (one for you, one for your date) and a couple bottles of water, and meet your date at the first destination. Your goal here is to take as many ridiculous and fun photos as possible. This will help break the ice if you're a newer couple, or spice things up if you've fallen into a normal date pattern. Make sure to ask someone along your adventure to take a photo of the two of you together! After your frolic through the city, have your photos developed, but don't peak at the photos until you arrive at your final destination; the bar or cafe. Have a few drinks (or cappuccinos) and look through your photos together. You can laugh at the silly ones, tease at the bad ones, and trade photos (if the night goes well).

Cam & I will be going on a photo adventure together! Make sure to subscribe to our twitter, instagram (Kellee's / Cam's), or facebook for special content not on the blog, as well as live photos while we're on our date. ;)
